As a professional yapper, it’s truly surprising that I waited this long before starting a sewing blog.
If you’re stumbling across this blog for the first time…
Hi, I’m Doodle! I’m a seamstress and cosplayer, and I’ve been sewing for 13 years. The first cosplay I sewed for myself was Mami Tomoe back in 2012. I entered the cosplay contest on a whim, took home a judges choice award, and the rest is history!

In my experience, cosplay fulfills my innate desire to be both whimsical and fun, as well as feral and challenge-hungry. I love figuring out solutions to difficult problems using the most chaotic methods available to me, then asking a fellow cosplayer “hey do you like this?” and hopping on a stage to find out the answer. I love competing, and the vast majority of my builds are made for that purpose!
Outside of cosplay, I have a few hobbies like bookbinding and jewelry making. I love playing MMO’s and yes, I keep my Neopets fed.
I have a Standard Poodle named Genn, and my sweet fiancé, Petey, who keeps me sane during con crunch.

He’s also a wonderful digital artist! Shamelessly plugging his work here. If you were ever a fan of Undertale, you most likely saw his fanart. We met because of Undertale, so don’t knock me for referencing it – we ourselves roast it enough as-is.
This blog is going to serve as a landing spot for all of my cosplay progress shots, tutorials, finished pictures, and future crafting projects!
I’ve posted finished photos of the majority of my cosplays in this post. There are a few separate posts for cosplays I really liked or have a lot of pictures of, but cosplays before 2025 most likely won’t have progress shots; it’s been a bit too long!
