Sakizou? Probably my favorite trend.
I still have Sakizou illustrations on my to-cosplay list, over a decade after the hype has died.
When I say 2014 was the year of Sakizou, I’m not exaggerating. I wore her to KatsuCon 2014 and the place was flooded with velvet, ruffles, and more rhinestones than Lady Gaga could dream of.
I’m a sucker for robots and automatons, so Automata was an easy choice. She was a ton of fun to make, and I got to make more ruffles! Automata is top of my list to remake with the knowledge I’ve learned. I am ready for a challenge!
